Tucker Carlson broke two days of media silence after parting ways with Fox news Channel Wednesday evening by issuing a video message on social media.
He posted the 2-minute, 16-second clip at 8 p.m. EDT, the same hour he’d normally be on Fox news.
The clip did not directly address his leave-taking from Fox or the reasons for it.
But he did end the video, which called most political debates on TV “unbelievably stupid” and “irrelevant,” with a claim that as long as the truth can be heard, it will win.
“When honest people say what’s true, calmly and without embarrassment, they become powerful. At the same time, the liars who have been trying to silence them, shrink and they became weaker. That’s the iron law of the universe, true things prevail,” Carlson stated.
“As long as you can hear the words, there is hope. See you soon,” he concluded.
