Tesco Clubcard customers are warned ahead of major change tomorrow

news/tesco/index.html” id=”mol-889ebbb0-dd36-11ed-890f-c79fed9b942e” target=”_self”>Tesco shoppers have been warned that a major change to the store’s clubcard policy will soon take effect which could result in customers spending more on their groceries. 

From tomorrow, shoppers will no longer be able to use their Clubcard app and will instead have to download a fresh application to keep collecting points. 

The new Tesco Grocery & Clubcard app will operate in the same fashion and customers will just have to re-log in in order to continue collecting points. 

Shoppers can also use their physical Clubcard to continue to earn points. 

It’s not the only change to the Clubcard system that Tesco has announced. 

Customers will still be able to collect points using their physical Clubcard following the change

From June 14, the supermarket will be reducing the value of Clubcard vouchers that customers can spend with reward partners including Zizzi and Pizza Express. 

Currently customers are able to exchange and triple the value of vouchers in an effort to make their savings go further. 

But from mid-June, customers will only be able to double the value if exchanged  at any of Tesco’s 100 reward partners.

However there are some walk arounds for savvy customers in the know. 

If you want your money to go further you can take steps to avoid the points devaluation for a period by ordering partner codes before June 14.  

In a further blow to Clubcard customers, Tesco recently announced that drivers filling up will no longer receive one Clubcard point for every £2 spent on fuel.

Under new regulations they will get a point for every two litres- meaning fewer points at current fuel prices.
